FITCHBURG, MASS. (December 28, 2022) – Green Meadows Farm (Green Meadows), a vertically integrated organic cannabis company founded by the family of General Patton, will open the doors of its second cannabis dispensary on Wednesday, December 28th. The dispensary, serving adult-use cannabis customers, is located at 50 Whalon Street in Fitchburg, MA, less than a mile from Route 2. An official grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 am and will feature free dog tag engravings and cannabis education with top cannabis vendor brands.
Punching above its weight
Green Meadows’ Fitchburg dispensary opening comes less than two years after opening its original, flagship location in Southbridge that houses cultivation, production, and retail all under the same roof. In that time, Green Meadows has hit a number of impressive milestones, including most recently being named Best of Central Massachusetts in the marijuana dispensary category by the Telegram & Gazette. Other highlights have included launching General’s Aide, its first line of in-house manufactured cannabis products, with low-to-no chemical methods, followed by its homegrown organic cannabis and the acceleration of its wholesale distribution to dozens of partners across the state.
Green Meadows also secured its medical license and began serving medical patients at its Southbridge location, announced the most competitive veteran discounts in Massachusetts, and has recently obtained its cannabis license in Connecticut, where it will also act as a vertically integrated cannabis operation under the ‘Green Meadows’ brand umbrella. This past spring Green Meadows became the exclusive production, packaging and distribution partnership for several celebrity cannabis brands being launched by The Hub Craft including Paul Pierce, Whoopi Goldberg, Rick Ross, and Gary Payton. Green Meadows is also one of the only cannabis companies in the state to offer clones to home growers, both at their own dispensary, as well as the only company that sells their organic clones at partner dispensaries throughout the state.
Heritage of Service, Support and Organic Agriculture
Owned and operated by descendants of WWII General George S. Patton, Green Meadows is founded on the Patton family’s heritage of veteran advocacy, community service, and organic agriculture. The company mission is simple: to bring exceptional cannabis products to Fitchburg and surrounding communities, while engaging with consumers, particularly veterans, on ways these products may enhance personal health and well-being.
“We have seen so many people, especially veterans, who have seen their quality of life improve from using our cannabis products to better manage various issues from PTSD and pain to insomnia and anxiety without the need for addictive opioids and prescription medications,” says Chris Zawacki, Chief Executive Officer. “We’re so happy to be bringing our organic, sustainably produced cannabis to Fitchburg where we can expand the access of this natural remedy to more people who can benefit.”
