SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS., November 10, 2022 – Green Meadows, a cannabis company based in the heart of Southbridge, Mass. at 64 Mill Street, has won Telegram & Gazette’s Best
of Central Mass Award in the Marijuana Dispensary category, after being selected as a top five finalist in August. These awards celebrate and recognize the best Worcester County has to offer across a wide range of categories.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the reception from our community over the last almost two years,” said Chris Zawacki, CEO, Green Meadows. “We hear from recreational guests and medical patients alike that they not only experience the difference in how they feel with our organically grown cannabis, but they feel good about our values and what we represent as a family-owned company – our focus on organics, education, the community, and veterans.”
With less than two years since Green Meadows opened its Southbridge dispensary for recreational guests, the company has reached several major milestones, including bringing its own organic, sustainable cannabis to the market, serving medical patients with the most competitive veterans discounts in the state, hosting multiple events focused on advancing cannabis education and veterans’ causes, and rolling out an aggressive wholesale strategy. Today, Green Meadows products can be found in over 70 dispensaries across the state. At this same time, Green Meadows became the exclusive partner for the launch of several celebrity-branded cannabis products in Massachusetts, including Paul Pierce and Whoopi Goldberg, and was the first Massachusetts operator to offer organic clones to the growing home cultivator market. And now, perhaps the most meaningful milestone because it comes directly from its local guests and patients, the Best of Central Mass.
“We came to Southbridge knowing we would do things a little differently,” Rob Patton, CMO, Green Meadows. “Not only have we proven that customers don’t need to choose between quality, organic cannabis and price, but through winning this award, we’ve shown that cannabis consumers are smart and, paying attention to the crowded market, are willing to travel to a dispensary that offers a welcoming experience and affordable pricing for premium products.”
Green Meadows is bringing its award-winning dispensary model to Fitchburg, Mass., which is set to open in December 2022. Located at 50 Whalon St right off of Route 2, the facility will be recreational-only upon its launch, with the potential to serve medical patients in the future.
