The founders are committed to expanding the Patton family’s veteran support by focusing on veteran employment, training and philanthropy in their new cannabis venture.

SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS., March 1, 2021 Green Meadows Farm (Green Meadows), a cannabis company based in the heart of Southbridge, Mass., welcomed a steady stream of adult use customers, including first customer Robert LeDuc, an Eagles Club Trustee, Vietnam veteran and long-standing pillar of the Southbridge community. Even with a long line, all visitors were able to wait comfortably in the front courtyard with coffee and muffins from Sturbridge Coffee Roasters, ensuring Green Meadows could effectively and efficiently meet all CDC and state mandates of limiting store occupancy to 40%, six-foot distancing and requiring masks. Visitors parked in one of the more than 45 spaces available in Green Meadows’ newly built parking lot –across the street from the dispensary. A sheltered courtyard led visitors into the open, spacious 4,500-square-foot retail space, which ensured customers felt safe while visiting the dispensary.

“Southbridge welcomed us from the start, so we are thrilled to finally open our doors to the community,” said Bob Patton, Manager and Chief Executive Officer. “It’s important to us that visitors feel completely at ease when they come in. We want them to count on our friendly and attentive customer service and to trust in the quality and purity of our cannabis products.”

Green Meadows is currently serving adult use customers while also pursuing cultivation and medical cannabis licenses. Aiming to serve both medical and adult use customers, the company expects to add medical service to its Southbridge dispensary this spring.

In a rarity for Massachusetts cannabis, Green Meadows will launch its cultivation and processing facility alongside its dispensary in a restored 19th century mill building. Cannabis production will follow strict organic standards to assure the highest level of safety and purity. Green Meadows then will offer its own products homegrown to organic standards as well as a curated selection of high-quality products from other sources.

“In addition to being a visitor destination for cannabis grown to the highest organic principles, we hope Green Meadows becomes a place to learn about cannabis and how it may improve health and well-being – particularly for veterans dealing with chronic pain and PTSD,” said Patton. “The proximity of our grow facility to the dispensary ensures our customers will benefit from always having cultivation staff nearby to explain our grow techniques and the terrific cannabis we’re producing to the highest levels of purity.”
